There are drivers who win championships and there are drivers who transcend the sport entirely, and Ayrton Senna did both while making everyone who watched him feel like they were witnessing something that operated outside the normal rules of human performance.
Three world titles, 65 pole positions, a qualifying lap at Monaco in 1984 that his own engineer described as being from another dimension.
The numbers are extraordinary, but they don't capture what made Senna, Senna.
